In the summer of 2021, I took an unexpected trip to Paris and Provence, France.
While preparing for the trip, I became inspired by the Lume Van Gogh exhibit at Newfields to visit the places that Vincent Van Gogh lived and worked.
From the Parisian artist colony at Montmartre to the southern town of Arles in Provence, I sought out the current locations of many of the places he painted to capture not only their current state, but also the people and scenery that surround them today.
Two years later, I returned to France, this time to Auver-sur-Oise, where Vincent ended his career, and ultimately, his life.
Two years after that, I traveled to the village of Neunen, in the Netherlands, where he began his career.
While my timeline was a little out of order, it was a wonderful adventure that resulted in what I think is a beautiful series of photos.
I hope you enjoy them.
